As business professionals, we come to points in our lives that halt us. Some events are disappointing, like not landing the big contract. Some events are more personal, like the passing of someone you know and love.
Recently, I experienced the latter. Within a week, my father in law, Domenic, and a dear friend and Profitability Lab Leader Licensee, Beverly Wall, passed away. My heart aches at letting go.
The rational part of my brain says letting go is a part of life. And, then there’s my heart. My heart is sad. Sad for the families and friends who were touched by these lives. Sad for what could have been. Sad for the absence of continued memories.
Yet, it is when I step inside of these memories, I find moments of peace. I find peace because I get in touch with their magnificent contribution they were in the world.
I get in touch with the contribution they made to their families and their friends. It is in each family, friend or colleague they touched that they will pass on a learning.
I learned so much from having known them: a learning that will live on.
In their own unique and perfect way, they created ripples. With each person they touched, the ripples expand. Each ripple causes a new learning.
Through their expansive ripples, their legacies live on.
And, so it is with you…
Create a great life,
Lisa Mininni, President
